Title: Morphogenesis and dynamics of quantum state
Authors: Peter Leifer
Comments: 10 pages, 3 figures, Essay written for the FQXi contest on the Nature of Time
Subjects: General Physics (physics.gen-ph)

New construction of 4D dynamical space-time (DST) has been proposed in the framework of unification of relativity and quantum theory. Such unification is based solely on the fundamental notion of generalized coherent state (GCS) of N-level system and the geometry of unitary group SU(N) acting in state space $C^N$. Neither contradictable notion of quantum particle, nor space-time coordinates (that cannot be a priori attached to nothing) are used in this construction. Morphogenesis of the "field shell"-lump of GCS and its dynamics have been studied for N=2 in DST. The main technical problem is to find non-Abelian gauge field arising from conservation law of the local Hailtonian vector field. The last one may be expressed as parallel transport of local Hamiltonian in projective Hilbert space $CP(N-1)$. Co-movable local "Lorentz frame" being attached to GCS is used for qubit encoding result of comparison of the parallel transported local Hamiltonian in infinitesimally close points. This leads to quasi-linear relativistic field equations with soliton-like solutions for "field shell" in emerged DST. The terms "comparison" and "encoding" resemble human's procedure, but here they have objective content realized in invariant quantum dynamics. The dynamical motion of the lump in DST may be associated with "kinesis" time whereas the evolution parameter describing morphogenesis of GCS evolving in $CP(N-1)$, may be naturally identified with "metabole" time.

Title: Dark energy as the source of the time dependend Einstein cosmological constant
Comments: 25 pgs, 4 figures
Subjects: General Physics (physics.gen-ph)

In this paper we calculate the Einstein cosmological constant.Following our results presented in monograph: From quark to bulk matter, we obtain the new formula for the time dependent cosmological constant, lambda. Following the general formula for time dependent lambda, we can describe the history of the cosmological constant

Title: Magnetic Moment Formulas of Baryons Determined by Quantum Numbers
Authors: Yi-Fang Chang
Subjects: General Physics (physics.gen-ph); Accelerator Physics (physics.acc-ph)

We propose that the magnetic moment formulas of baryons may be determined by quantum numbers, and obtain three formulas. This is a new type of magnetic moment formula, and agrees better with the experimental values. It is also similar to corresponding mass formulas of hadrons.

Title: Quantum of area from gravitation on complex octonions
Authors: Jens Köplinger
Subjects: General Physics (physics.gen-ph)

Using spin 1/2 particle elastic scattering on a fixed target, in a 1/|x| potential on Euclidean metric, a minimum scattering cross section appears from the spin contribution. Interpreted as semi-classical limit of an earlier proposed operator formulation of four dimensional Euclidean quantum gravity, using non-associative complex octonion algebra, this is understood as an area quantum for the observation: Existence of finite (quantized) charges yields a minimum area element of interaction. This suggests that models built on the fundamental assumption of a quantized area element (namely as in Loop Quantum Gravity) may in principle approximate General Relativity in the non-quantum limit.

Title: An oscillating universe model based on chromoelectric fields
Authors: V.N.Yershov
Comments: 14 pages, 7 figures, in Russian
Subjects: General Physics (physics.gen-ph)

An oscillating universe model is discussed, in which the singularity of the initial state of the universe is avoided by postulating an upper limit on spacetime curvature. This also results in the devising of the simplest possible structure - a primitive particle (usually called preon), which can be considered as the basic constituent of matter that have no properties except for the property of carrying a unit chromoelectric charge. The SU(3)xU(1)-symmetry of its field results in the emergence of a unique set of structures reproducing exactly the observed variety of the fundamental fermions and gauge bosons. The discussed scheme allows finding answers to many fundamental questions of the standard particle physics and cosmology based on a very few primary constituents.
